Grateful = Healthy!


We are in the season of gratitude! When loved ones show love and appreciation for each other and the blessings of family, friends, freedoms, and opportunities. This year is particularly poignant due to recent events and the current pandemic. It is the perfect time to refocus and recommit to living a better life. Gratitude is a daily practice that can make each day feel like Thanksgiving.


Benefits to gratitude are AT LEAST 3-fold...

  1. Physical: stronger immune system, less bothered by aches and pains, lower blood pressure, exercise more, take better care of health, sleep longer, and feel more refreshed upon waking.

  2. Psychological: higher levels of positive emotions, more alert, alive and awake, more joy and pleasure, more optimism and happiness.

  3. Social: more helpful, generous, and compassionate, more forgiving, more outgoing, feel less lonely and isolated.

While life can still be hard, and may be for quite some time, it's so important and an EASY remedy to express gratitude for the blessings of our lives. Try writing in a journal, or take the time to express it personally to those you love, or simply take a moment to silently acknowledge all that you have.
